The vice president of Gateway Biotechnology, Dr. Thomas Brutnell is a widely recognized authority in the areas of genome engineering, synthetic biology, and genomics. Last April, Dr. Thomas Brutnell attended the SupplySide East 2019 convention held in Secaucus, New Jersey.
Celebrating its 21st year, SupplySide East 2019 was a 2-day event that gathered over 3,500 industry professionals and 250 exhibitors at the Meadowlands Exposition Center to share best practices and network with the world’s leading innovators of natural and healthy ingredients of consumer products.
In collaboration with the NSF International, SupplySide East delivered two training sessions that tackled compliance requirements and good manufacturing practices (GMPs). SupplySide East also launched new educational programs—Trends Driving the Health & Nutrition Industry and Sports Nutrition & Active Lifestyles—underwritten by KSM-66 and XSTO Solutions, respectively.
During the event, attendees learn from industry experts and discussed the key opportunities and challenges facing the industry, including the growing popularity of cannabidiol (CBD), sports nutrition, and supply chain transparency.
